Brown Brothers ‘Patricia’ 2006 Noble Riesling ($35)

Northeast Victoria’s Brown family has been making top-notch wine since 1885.  Their flagship white has always been lusciously sweet Riesling.  Most “pudding” whites are made with botrytis-affected Semillon, but the Browns prefer Riesling.  Plump and honeyed but saved from being “over-the-top” by a clean, citrusy backbone.  Widely available.
